Blood and Body Fluid RemediationBlood and/or body fluids have the potential to carry a variety of infectious diseases. They also carry pathogens which can cause serious health issues or even death. Infectious diseases are sometimes called “contagious” when they are easily transmitted by contact with an ill person or their secretions. Thus, a contagious disease is a subset of infectious disease that is easily transmitted. There are times when a resident, family member, or tenant has had an infectious disease due to their unfortunate death or just occupying the residence has spread the disease throughout the property. The hosts (blood and body fluids) are visible, but the diseases are invisible to the naked eye and can lay dormant on hard and soft surfaces. They can be contracted and can be spread through casual contact with the infected area. To ensure your health, it’s critical that you call a trained professional to properly clean and dispose of the waste. Don’t gamble with your health, call ProGuard Environmental Services and be safe.
Homicide/Suicide CleanupWhen the tragedy of an unexpected death occurs, family and friends should not be left with the overwhelming task of cleaning what was left behind. This type of cleanup requires specialized equipment, training, and, most importantly, compassion and respect. Allow us to carry some of your burden and return your home or business to a safe environment. You can be confident that throughout the process your ProGuard Environmental Services professional will maintain the highest level of discretion, integrity, and character.
Accidental/Unattended Death CleanupAccidental Death, or Unattended Death, as it is more commonly called, is a term associated with a tenant, friend, or family member that has been found deceased in their home or apartment. Often there is a lapse in time before a friend, family member, or first responder makes the discovery. Along with finding the diseased, the family member or first responders may encounter the remnants of body fluids, filth, and possibly a mild to extreme odor due to natural decomposition. Not only do friends and family have to deal with the grief and shock that accompanies death, but they have many other feelings and emotions to work through. We know that property owners, family, and friends should not have to deal with the task of cleaning. We cannot reverse the tragic event, but we can help with the healing process and remove all of the hazards created by the unfortunate circumstances. Trust ProGuard Environmental Services professionals in your time of need.
Advanced Odor TreatmentTypically, strong offensive odors find their origins in all aspects of biohazard contamination. Odor abatement can be short term or permanent depending on the treatment process. There are numerous methods to achieve deodorization, but they all fall into three categories.
- A masking agent – Designed to cover the odor, e.g., air freshener.
- A pairing agent – A neutralizing agent paired with its host odor.
- Molecular change – Achieved either with an ozone or Hydroxyl generator to molecularly change the structure of the offensive odor.
Hoarding CleanupMany issues are associated with the accumulation of property and trash, such as health, fire, and personal depression. These issues can lead to added stress for the homeowner, family, and friends. Hoarding is defined as an unsanitary living environment and the inability to navigate freely within a home or structure. At times hoarding can lead to rodent and pest infestation presenting additional health risks. ProGuard Environmental Services professionals can bring your home or apartment back to a condition that is completely safe to re-occupy or market for sale. Our highly- trained technicians handle valuable personal property with care and are fully insured to protect that your family heirlooms and cherished items are protected.
Electrostatic Spray Disinfection – Watch Hospital Room DisinfectionElectrostatic spraying is a process that employs charged particles to thoroughly and efficiently encapsulate a target. At the tip of an electrostatic sprayer is a tiny electrode which applies an electrical charge to the spray. This electrical charging causes a natural force of attraction between the spray droplets and target surface, similar to the attraction between items of clothing created by the tumbling of a clothes dryer. The charge on the droplets is small, but the force pulling the spray towards the target is 75 times greater than the force of gravity. Droplets literally reverse direction and move upwards, against gravity, when passing a target surface. This remarkable phenomenon by which the spray coats the undersides and the backsides of the spray target is known as electrostatic ‘wraparound’. This wraparound ability allows ProGuard Environmental Services to provide unparalleled surface treatments. Application specific, it’s employed as a bactericide, virucide, or fungicide to disinfect and protect virtually every surface in your facility, killing harmful bacteria and viruses such as Staph, E. coli, MRSA, Swine Flu (H1N1), Avian Flu (H5N1), Legionella, Norovirus, Salmonella, Listeria, Tuberculosis and many more.
Comparison of Electrostatic Sprayer to Standard Sprayer
- Test object prior to spraying with an electrostatic sprayer
- STANDARD SPRAYER – Test object after application with a normal sprayer. Notice that the object is only covered on the side that faces the spray nozzle.
- ELECTROSTATIC SPRAYER – Test object after being sprayed with an electrostatic sprayer. Notice that ENTIRE surface is covered despite only spraying from ONE side. Additionally, only half of the chemical was required to coat the entire surface, not just the front half.
